6. Amendment of section 7 of the principal enactment

Section 7 of the principal enactment is hereby amended by the repeal of subsection (1) thereof and substitution therefor of the following:—

“(1) The Chairman shall preside at every meeting of the

Board. Where the Chairman is absent from any meeting the

Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sri Lanka members present shall elect a Chairman for that meeting from among themselves.”.
