29. Establishment of the National Audit Office

There shall be a National Audit Office (hereinafter referred to as the “Audit Office”) to assist the Auditor

General in the discharge of his duties and functions, which shall consist of the Auditor-General and a staff comprising the members belonging to the Sri Lanka State Audit Service established under section 30 of this Act and the Non-Audit

Staff (hereinafter referred to as the “staff of the Audit Office”).
