23. Powers of members of the board or authorized officer to inspect premises &c

Any member of the Board or any officer authorized in that behalf by the Board in writing, for the purposes of this

Act may-

enter and inspect at all reasonable hours by day or by night, any premises or place, for examining any register or record relating to the earnings of any employee ;

take copies of any such register or record or part thereof ;

examine any person whom he has reasonable cause to believe is an employer or any employee ; and

examine any records or other documents relating to contributions to any provident fund.
