6. Constitution of the Board
ප්රතිචාර සහ සහායනිල ඉංග්රීසි පරිවර්තනය. එය සිංහල හෝ දෙමළ පාඨයට වඩා වෙනස් නම් බලපවත්වන පාඨය කුමක්දැයි පනතේම සඳහන් වේ.
The Board shail consist of the following :—
five ex-officio members, namely :—
the Secretary to the Ministry of the Minister in charge of the subject of Transport or his

representative ;
the Chairman of the National Transport
Commission established by the National
Transport Commission Act, No. 37 of 1991 or his representative ;
the Deputy Inspector-General of Police
(Traffic) or his representative ;

the Secretary to the Ministry of the Minister i charge of the subject of Health or his representative ; and
the Secretary to the Ministry of the Minister in charge of the subject of Finance or his representative ; and
‘National Transport Medical Institute Act No. 25 of 1997
four members, appointed by the Minister, (hereinafter referred to as the “appointed members”) chosen from among persons who have had experience or have qualifications or have shown capacity, in the fields of transport, or medicine.
The Minister shall appoint one of the members of the
Board, as the Chairman of the Board.
The Chairman shall be the Chief Executive officer of the Institute.
Aperson shall be disqualified from being appointed or from continuing as a member of the Board if he is, or becomes, a member of Parliament or a member of a Provincial Council.
Provincial Council
“ Provincial Council ” means a Provincial Council established by Chapter XVIII of the Constitution. H
