AN ACT TO AMEND THE PENAL Cope.
BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic
Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows :—
s 1Short title
This Act may be cited as the Penal Code (Amendment)
Act, No. 50 of 1980.
s 2Amendment of section 53 of Chapter 19,
Section 53 of the Penal Code is hereby amended as follows :—
by the substitution for the words “under the age of sixteen years ;”, of the words “under the age of eighteen years ;”; and
in the marginal note thereto, by the substitution for the words “under sixteen years age” of the words “under eighteen years of age.” .
