61. Judicial order on any person to conduct activity necessary for investigations

An investigation officer shall have the power to obtain a judicial order on any person requiring to conduct any activity that may be necessary for the conduct of investigations into suspected proceeds of crime, including the conduct of-

(a)

a forensic audit;

(b)

digital forensic extraction of data and information;

(c)

valuation of the property;

(d)

copying and storage of data and information in digital storage devices;

(e)

forensic analysis of any transaction relating to property; and

(f)

any other activity that is necessary to achieve the objectives of this Act:

Provided however, where such activity is directed to be conducted by a private party, the Magistrate shall in consultation with the relevant service provider determine fees to be payable and require the relevant law enforcement authority to pay such fees.
