3. General objects of the Corporation

The Sri Lanka Historical Association

(Incorporation) Act, No. 26 of 1998

to make comparative and evaluative studies of the history and civilizations of Sri Lanka ;

to establish a library and provide other services and to print, publish and sell, books, journals, memories, monographs and periodicals in fulfillment of the objects of the Corporation;

to establish friendly relations with organizations devoted to the study.

. study of Asian cultures and civilizations, in Sri

Lanka and abroad;

to arrange, organise, and promote, exhibitions, lecture. programmes, conferences, seminars, work-shops, educational tours and other activities, in furtherance of the objects of the Corporation;

to send delegates to seminars on topics pertaining to the objects of the Corporation, conducted in Sri

Lanka or in foreign countries;

to adopt measures to collaborate with local and foreign organizations having similar objects;

to assist members, officers and servants of the

Corporation who are erigaged in pursuits directed towards the accomplishment of the objects of the

Corporation through scholarships or awards;

to collect funds for the conduct of the affairs of the

Corporation;

to do all such other acts and things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objects of the Corporation.
