This Act may be cited as the Dambadeniya Devefop-
‘ment Foundation (Incorporation) Act No. 65 of 1992,
s 2Incorporation of the Dambadeniya Development Foundation
From and after the date of commencement of this Act, the members for the time being of the Board of Trustees of the Dambadeniya Development Foundation (hereinafter re-ferred to as “the Trust”)’ or shall hereafter, be admitted as members of the Board of Trustees of the Corporation hereby constituted shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession under the name and style of the
“Dambadeniya
Development
Foundation ”
(hereinafter referred to ag “the Corporation”) and by that name may sue and be sued in all courts with full power and authority to use a common seal and to change and alter the same at its will and pleasure.
General objects of the Corpo-ration.
3- The general objects for which the Corporation
Is constituted are hereby declared to be—
fi) to encourage the economic, social and cultural develop-ment and the human resources development, of the area comprising the Assistant Government Agent’s

s 8Seal of the Corporation
The seal of the Corporation shall be in the custody of a member of the Board designated by the Board and may be altered in such manner as may be determined by the Board. The seal shall not be affixed to any instrument whatsoever, except with the sanction of the Board and in the presence of two members of the
Board who shall write and sign their names to the instru-ment in token of their presence. Such signing shall be independent of the signing of any person as a witness.
s 9Savings of the rights of the Republic and others
Nothing in this Act contained shall prejudice or affect the rights of the Republic or of any body politic or corporate or of any other persons, except such as mention-ed in this Act and those claiming by, from or under them.
s 10Sinhala text to prevail in case of
In the event of any inconsistency between the Sin-hala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail,
