7. Proceedings of the Board
கருத்துகள் மற்றும் உதவிஅதிகாரப்பூர்வ ஆங்கில மொழிபெயர்ப்பு. சிங்கள அல்லது தமிழ் உரையிலிருந்து வேறுபடும் இடங்களில் எந்த உரை மேலோங்கும் என்பதைச் சட்டமே குறிப்பிடுகிறது.
The Chairman or in his absence the Prime Minister or in the absence of both, the Leader of the Opposition or in the absence of all three, a member chosen by the members present at any meeting of the Board shall preside at such meeting.
The Board shall meet whenever it considers necessary.
The quorum for a meeting of the Board shall be five members.
Subject to the provisions of this Act the Board may make rules for the procedure in the conduct of its affairs.
No act or proceeding of the Board shall be deemed to be invalid by reason only of the existence of any vacancy among its members or any defect in the appointment of any member thereof.
The members of the Board ehall be paid such allowances end other remuneration as the President shali determine in consultation with such persone as he may consider necessary.
Secye to the Institute.
8 (1) The Board shall appoint a Secretary te the
Institute whose powers, functions and duties shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules of the Institute, be determined by the Board.
The Secretary shall be responsible for the custody of the records of the Board and the property of the Institute.
The Secretary shall be ex officio Secretary to the
Board.
The Secretary shall, subject to the direction and control of the Chairman of the Board, be responsible for the general administration of the Institute and the discipli-nary control of. the non-academic staff.
