7. Derivative works

அதிகாரப்பூர்வ ஆங்கில மொழிபெயர்ப்பு. சிங்கள அல்லது தமிழ் உரையிலிருந்து வேறுபடும் இடங்களில் எந்த உரை மேலோங்கும் என்பதைச் சட்டமே குறிப்பிடுகிறது.

(1)

The following shall also be protected as works :—

(a)

translations, adaptations, arrangements and other transformations or modifications of works ; and

(b)

collections of works and collections of mere data

(data bases), whether in machine readable or other form, provided that such collections are original by reason of the selection, co-ordination or arrangement of their contents.

(2)

The protection of any work referred to in subsection (1) shall be without prejudice to any protection of a pre-existing work incorporated in, or utilized for, the making of such a work.
