26. Amendment of section 55 of the principal enactment

Section 55 of the principal enactment is hereby amended as follows :—

(1)

by the renumbering of that section as subsection (1) of that section ; and

(2)

by the addition immediately after the renumbered subsection (1) of the following subsection :—

“(2) Nothing in subsection (1) shall apply to—

(a)

any female engaged in a managerial capacity ;

(b)

any female engaged in providing health or welfare services ; or

(c)

any female who, as part of any course of study, is required to be familiar with underground mining activities.”.
