16. The Director, Finance

(1)

The Director, Finance of the University, shall be appointed by the Board of Governors of the University upon the recommendation of a select committee, the composition of which shall be prescribed by Ordinance, and shall function as a full-time officer of the University.

(2)

The Director, Finance shall—

(a)

subject to the direction and control of the Vice

Chancellor, be responsible for the general administration of the finances of the University and shall maintain its accounts in such form and manner as may be prescribed by Ordinance; and

(b)

exercise, perform and discharge such powers, duties and functions as may be conferred or imposed on or assigned to him by this Act or by any appropriate

Instrument.

(3)

The Director, Finance shall have the custody of all the funds of the University.
