கருத்துகள் மற்றும் உதவிஅதிகாரப்பூர்வ ஆங்கில மொழிபெயர்ப்பு. சிங்கள அல்லது தமிழ் உரையிலிருந்து வேறுபடும் இடங்களில் எந்த உரை மேலோங்கும் என்பதைச் சட்டமே குறிப்பிடுகிறது.
A person shall be disqualified from being elected or Disquali-nominated or from continuing as a member of a Board established for a school if he—
is a Member of Parliament, a Member of a Provincial
Council, or a member of a local authority
;
is under eighteen years of age
;
is under any law in force in Sri Lanka or any other country, found or declared to be of unsound mind;
is a person who, having been declared an insolvent, er a bankrupt under any law in force in Sri Lanka or in any other country, is an undischarged insolvent or bankrupt
;
is a person on whom a sentence of imprisonment
(including a suspended sertence) has been imposed by any court in Sri Lanka or any other country
;
or
is registered as a contractor under the Ministry of the Minister or the Ministry of the Minister in charge of the subject of Higher Education or the
Ministry of the Provincial Minister for the purpose of undertaking contracts for the construction of buildings, or the supply of equipment or the provision of services or is the parent, spouse, brother or sister of such person or is a person who is enployed by, or has an interest in, a company or a partnership registered with the Ministry of the
Minister or the Ministry of the Minister in charge of the subject of Higher Education or the Ministry of the Provincial Minister for the purpose of undertaking contracts for the construction of buildings, or the supply of equipment or the provision of services or is a parent, spouse, brother or sister of such person.
