24. Notice to Consular Officer on detention of foreign ship
ප්රතිචාර සහ සහායනිල ඉංග්රීසි පරිවර්තනය. එය සිංහල හෝ දෙමළ පාඨයට වඩා වෙනස් නම් බලපවත්වන පාඨය කුමක්දැයි පනතේම සඳහන් වේ.
Whenever—
any foreign ship is detained under this Act, and
(b} any proceedings are taken under this Act against the master or owner of such ship, notice shall forthwith be served on the Consular Officer for the country to which the ship belongs at or nearest to the port where the ship is for the time being.
The notice to be served under subsection (1) shall specify the grounds on which the ship has been detained or on whieh the proceedings have been taken.

“ ship” means a vessel of any type whatsoever operating in the marine environment and includes fishing trawlers, hydrafoil boats, aircyshion vehicles, submersibles.barges, floating-craft and fixed or floating platforms without regard to the method of or the lack of propulsion; °
