7. Disqualifi cations from being a member of the Board

A person shall be disqualifi ed from being appointed as a member or continuing as a member of the Board, if -

he is or becomes, a member of Parliament, a member of any Provincial Council or a member of a Local

he is not, or ceases to be, a citizen of Sri Lanka;

he is under any law in force in Sri Lanka or in any other country, found or declared to be of unsound mind;

he is an undischarged insolvent or bankrupt; having been declared insolvent or bankrupt under any law in Sri Lanka or in any other country;

he is serving or has served a sentence of imprisonment imposed by any court in Sri Lanka or in any other country;

he holds or enjoys any right or benefi t under any contract made by, or on behalf of the Institute; or

he has any fi nancial or other interests as is likely to affect the discharge by him of his functions as a member of the Board.
