18. Duties of the member of the Security. Service,

It shall be the duty of every member of the Security
Service maintained under section 17—
to protect and safeguard the property of the Govern-ment of Sri Lanka andof the Agent and to reasonably ensure the safety of persons who enter or use the airport and where so directed, of the aircraft and other equipment which are within the limits of airport;
to use his best endeavours and ability to prevent all breaches of lew and nuisances within the airport;
to apprehend any disorderly and suspicious person within the airport ;-
to do any other thing which is necessary or which is required or ordered by the Agent to protect and safeguard the property of the Government of Sri
Lanka or the Agent and the persons who enter or use the airport
;
to otherwise assist in the compliance with any direc tion given to the Agent by the Director-General of Civil Aviation in relation to safety and security of the airport, its users and property within including aircraft.
