36. Powers of Council to inspect and search,

Any officer authorized by the Council may —
enter and inspect the premises of any approved person or any voluntary organisation engaged in providing services or assistance to elders ;
enter and inspect any premises on which he has reasonable grounds to believe that a person or voluntary organization not registered under this Act is providing services or assistance to elders ;
examine any book, register or record maintained by such person or organization and make extracts or copies therefrom ;
interrogate any person in any such premises, for the purpose of ascertaining whether the provisions of this Act are being complied with.
