3. Amendment of section 8 of the principal enactment

Section 8 of the principal enactment as last amended by Act, No. 9 of 2008, is hereby further amended as follows:—

(1)

in subsection (1) of that section, by the substitution in paragraph (d) thereof for the words and figures

“the emoluments arising in Sri Lanka prior to

April 1, 2008, and any income”, of the words “the emoluments arising in Sri Lanka and any income”;

and

(2)

in subsection (3) of that section, by the substitution for the words and figures “whichever is earlier, but not later than April 1, 2008.”, of the words

“whichever is earlier.”.
