s 1Short title
This Act may be cited as the Appropriation
(Amendment) Act, No. 12 of 2023.
s 2Amendment of section 2 of Act, No. 43 of 2022
Section 2 of the Appropriation Act, No. 43 of 2022
(hereinafter referred to as the “principal enactment”) is hereby amended as follows:–
in paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of that section, by the substitution for the words “rupees four thousand nine hundred seventy nine billion”, of the words “rupees thirteen thousand nine hundred seventy nine billion”; and
in subsection (4) of that section, by the substitution for the words “rupees four thousand two hundred twenty two billion two hundred thirty three million three hundred sixty two thousand”, of the words
“rupees thirteen thousand two hundred twenty two billion two hundred thirty three million three hundred sixty two thousand”.
s 3Amendment of the Second Schedule to the principal enactment
The Capital Expenditure Column of the Department of Treasury Operations appearing under the Head No. 249
of the Second Schedule to the principal enactment is hereby amended by the substitution for the figures
“2,019,970,000,000” of the figures “11,019,970,000,000”.
s 4Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency
In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
