10. Making complaints regarding violation of rights or denial of entitlements of victims of crime or witnesses

(1)

A victim of crime or witness or any other person on behalf of a victim of crime or witness may make a complaint regarding the violation or denial, or imminent violation or denial, of any right or entitlement specified in this Part of this Act either orally or in writing to the Authority within thirty days from the date of the alleged violation or denial, or imminent violation or denial, of such right or entitlement.

(2)

Where a complaint under subsection (1) has been made orally, it shall be recorded forthwith in writing by the officer receiving such complaint.

(3)

The procedure applicable for investigation or inquiry of any complaint received by the Authority under subsection (1) shall be as specified in the First Schedule to this Act.
