18. Fund of the Authority and its financial year

(1)

The Authority shall have its own Fund.

(2)

There shall be credited to the Fund of the Authority:—

(a)

all such sums of money as may be voted from time to time by Parliament for the use of the

Authority; and

(b)

all such sums of money as may be received by the Authority by way of donations, gifts, bequests and grants from sources within or outside Sri Lanka.

(3)

All sums of money required to defray expenditure incurred by the Authority in the exercise and performance of its duties and functions under this Act, shall be paid out of the Fund of the Authority.

(4)

The Board shall cause proper accounts to be kept of the receipts and expenditure, assests and liabilities and all other transactions of the Authority.

(5)

The financial year of the Authority shall be the calendar year.
