2. Amendment of certain sections of the Act…

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The sections of the Bail Act, No. 30 of 1997 specified in Column I of the Schedule hereto, are hereby amended by the substitution for the words specified in the corresponding entry in Column II, of the words specified in the corresponding entry in Column III of that Schedule for the purpose of increase of fines imposed in respect of the offences specified in such sections.
