3. Amendment of section 14 of the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Section 14 of the principal enactment is hereby amended by the insertion immediately after paragraph (c)

of that section, of the following new paragraph :—

“(cec) if he is elected as a Member of Parliament, a member of a Provincial Council, or a member of a local authority ;”.

Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency,

4 In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
