33. Rules

(1)

Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Council may make rules in respect of all or any of the following matters:-

(a)

all matters for which rules are authorised or required to be made under this Act;

(b)

the meetings of the Council and the procedure to be followed at such meeting;

(c)

the appointment, promotion, remuneration and disciplinary control of officers and employees and the grant of leave and other emoluments to officers and employees; and

(d)

any matter connected with the affairs of the Bureau:

Provided that, the Council shall not have the power to make rules in respect of any matter for which regulations are required to be made in terms of this Act.

(2)

Every rule made by the Bureau shall be approved by the Minister and published in the Gazette and shall come into operation on the date of its publication or on such later date as may be specified therein.
