2. Amendment of section 544 of Chapter 101

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Section 544 of the Civil Procedure Code is amended in subsection (1) of that section as follows :—

(1)

by the repeal of paragraph (a) of that subsection, and the substitution of the following paragraph therefor :—

“(a) moneys in any account, other than a current account, in any licensed Commercial Bank or licensed Specialized Bank, within the meaning of the Banking Act, No. 30 of 1988;”; and

(2)

by the repeal of paragraph (e) of that subsection, and the substitution of the following paragraph therefor :—

“(e) any other movable property in any vault, in any licensed Commercial Bank or licensed

Specialized Bank, within the meaning of the

Banking Act, No. 30 of 1988,”.
