s 1Short title

This Act may be cited as the Coconut Development

(Amendment) Act, No. 40 of 2003.

s 2Amendment of section 2 of Act No. 46 of 1971

Section 2 of the Coconut Development Act, No. 46 of 1971 is hereby amended by the repeal of paragraph (vii) of subsection (1) thereof and the substitution therefor, of the following paragraph :—

“(vti) fix the number of members of the Board, the number so fixed being’not more than eleven;”

s 3Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency

Inthe event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act the Sinhala text shall prevail.
