166. Powers, privileges, immunities and rights of the Republic

Unless Parliament otherwise provides, the

Republic of Sri Lanka shall continue to possess and exercise all powers, privileges, immunities and rights whatsoever possessed, exercised or exercisable immediately prior to the commencement of the Constitution.
