10. Department of Coast Guard or its personnel not to be trained as a military establishment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Nothing contained in this Act shall be construed to permit the Department of Coast Guard or its personnel to be trained or organised as a military establishment or to function as such.
