5. Amendment of section 108 of the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Section 108 of the principal enactment is hereby amended in subsection (1) thereof, by the substitution for the words “within twenty-one days of the date of publication of the result of the election in the Gazette:”, of the words

“within forty-two days of the date of publication of the result of the election in the Gazette:”.
