1. Short title

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

This Act may be cited as the Excise (Amendment) Act, .

Amendment f1) section 32 of Chapter 52

Section 32 of the Excise Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as “ the principal enactment ”) is hereby amended as follows :-—

(1)

in paragraph (p) of subsection (2) of that section by the substitution for the words “to be used there-with. ”, of the words “to be used therewith

by the addition at the end of subsection (2) of that section of the following new paragraph

(q)

prescribing a scheme for the payment of re-wards to excise officers and informers, out of the Reward Fund established under section 58a.”.
