Excise (Amendment) Act 2013

This Act may be cited as the Excise (Amendment)

Act, No. 7 of 2013 and shall be deemed to have come into operation from November 08, 2012.

Section 15 of the Excise Ordinance (Chapter 52) as last amended by Act, No. 20 of 2011 is hereby further amended as follows :—

(1)

in paragraph (b) thereof, by the substitution for the words ''kithul tree and" of the words ''kithul tree, coconut tree and"; and

(2)

in paragraph (c) thereof, by the substitution for the words ''kithul tree and" of the words ''kithul tree, coconut tree and".

In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
