55. Repeal and replacement of section 65 of the principal enactment

Section 65 of the principal enactment is hereby repealed and the following is substituted therefor:—

65. (1) There shall be established a fund called “the Wildlife Preservation Fund”

(hereinafter referred to as ‘the fund’) by the

Director-General in such manner as is provided for in this Ordinance, in consultation with the

Secretary to the Ministry of the Minister in charge of the subject of Wildlife Conservation.

(2)

There shall be paid into the Fund—

(a)

all sums of money received in respect of licences and permits issued under this Ordinance or any regulation made thereunder;

(b)

fees and any charges collected under this Ordinance or any regulation made thereunder;

(c)

all sums of money recovered as penalties under this Ordinance;

(d)

all sums of money received as donations for wildlife conservation;

and

(e)

any income from the management of any national reserve, sanctuary or other area declared under the

Ordinance.

(3)

No money shall be paid out of the fund except as specified by regulations made under the Ordinance.
