5. Replacement of section 38 of the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Section 38 of the principal enactment is hereby repealed and the following section substituted therefor :-

38. Every registered establishment and every special purpose vehicle shall be deemed to be a lending institution within the meaning, and for the purposes, of the Credit Information

Bureau of Sri Lanka Act, No. 18 of 1990.”.
