7. Insertion of new section 57A in the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The following new section is hereby inserted immediately after section 57 of the principal enactment and shall have effect as section 57A of that enactment :—

57A. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any other law, fifty per centum of every fine imposed by a court for the commission of an offence under section 49 of this Act, shall be credited to the Fund of the

Authority.”.
