70. Naming of inventor

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

(1)

The inventor shall be named as such in the patent, unless by a declaration in writing signed by him or on his behalf and submitted to the Director-General, he indicates his decision to forgo his name being included in the patent.

(2)

The provisions of subsection (1) shall not be modified by the terms of any contract.
