18. Seal of the body corporate

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

(1)

The seal of the body corporate shall not be affixed to any instrument whatsoever, except in the presence of two members of the Executive Board who shall sign their names to the instrument in token of their presence and such signing shall be independent of the signing of any person as a witness.

(2)

The seal of the body corporate shall be in the custody of an office bearer of the Executive Board as may be decided by such Executive Board.
