26. Any sale, dealing or disposal of corneal tissues etc. in violation of this Act to be an offence

(1)

No person shall buy, sell or in any manner dispose of, for a valuable consideration, any corneal tissue or any other tissue required for ophthalmic surgery in violation of the provisions of this Act.

(2)

Any person who contravenes the provisions of subsection (1) commits an offence under this Act and shall on conviction by a Magistrate be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand rupees, or to imprisonment of either description for a term not more than two years or both such fine and imprisonment.
