19. Duration of a registration

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

(1)

A Certificate of Registration that has been granted under this Act shall, unless cancelled earlier be valid for a period of one year from the date of the issue of the Certificate of Registration.

(2)

The Office may cancel a Certificate of Registration issued under section 18, if it is satisfied that the holder of the

Certificate of Registration has violated the provisions of the

Act or regulations made thereunder or any of the terms and conditions of such Certificate of Registration.
