5. Council to exercise its powers under the directions of the Minister

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

In the exercise of its powers and carrying out of its objectives, the Council shall comply with the general policy of the Government in connection with research relating to science and technology with any general or special directions issued by the Minister in respect thereof.
