s 1Short title

This Act may be cited as the Office on Missing

Persons (Establishment, Administration and Discharge of

Functions) (Amendment) Act, No. 9 of 2017.

s 2Amendment of section 11 of Act, No. 14 of 2016

Section 11 of the Office on Missing Persons

(Establishment, Administration and Discharge of Functions)

Act, No. 14 of 2016 is hereby amended as follows:—

(1)

by the repeal of paragraph (a) of that section; and

(2)

by the renumbering of paragraphs (b), (c), (d) and (e) of that section as paragraphs (a), (b), (c) and (d).

s 3Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency

In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
