2. The Sri Lanka Ports Authority to monitor measures to suppress piracy

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority in consultation with the Director of Merchant Shipping shall be responsible for coordinating all measures for the suppression of piracy in Sri
Lanka and for monitoring the implementation of such measures.
(2)
It shall be the duty of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority to gather, collate and disseminate information relating to piracy, in Sri Lanka and out side Sri Lanka, and to provide such assistance as may be necessary for the implementation of measures for the suppression of piracy.
