39. Admissibility of a certificate from a foreign competent authority

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the

Evidence Ordinance, a certificate from a foreign competent authority certified by the Attorney-General as amounting to a certificate from a foreign competent authority, regarding a property located in the country of such competent authority certifying that such property is proceeds of crime together with supporting documentary evidence in support of such claim, shall be prima-facie evidence of the relevant property being proceeds of crime, without the foreign competent authority being called to testify.
