18. Originals of documents filed to be made available to court for examination

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

In any proceedings under this Act, the Court may order that the originals of the lease agreement or other document copies of which were filed with the plaint or on which the action is founded, be made available for examination by the Court when the action is supported in

Court. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Civil

Procedure Code, such agreement or document shall be returned to the relevant party after such examination.
