Part VIII · General Provisions

31. This Act to be applicable for lease agreements executed prior to the commencement of this Act

(1)

The provisions of this Act shall be applicable to any lease agreement, notwithstanding that such lease agreement has been entered into and executed prior to the date of commencement of this Act.

(2)

Where such lease agreement has expired or terminated prior to the date of commencement of this Act, the lessor shall be entitled to commence proceedings for the recovery of the possession of the premises and the arrears of lease rentals, service charges and liquidated damages under this

Act.
