7. Payment of service charge

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

A service charge shall not be ordered unless the defendant has agreed to pay such service charge in the lease agreement, either directly to the plaintiff or to another person on behalf of the plaintiff.
