19. Members etc, of the Commission deemed to be public servants

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The members and officers and all other employees of the Commission shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning and for the purposes of the Penal Code

(Chapter 19) and every inquiry held by the Commission under this Act shall be deemed to be a judicial proceeding within the meaning of the Code of Criminal Procedure Act,
