2. Administration of the Act

(1)

The administration of the provisions of this Act shall vest in the Public Utilities Commission (hereinafter referred to as the “Commission”) established under the

Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act, No. 35 of 2002, and the Commission shall exercise, perform and discharge all the powers, functions and duties as are conferred on or assigned to it under this Act.

(2)

The exercise, performance and discharge by the

Commission of the powers , duties, and functions conferred on or assigned to it under this Act, shall be in addition and not in derogation to the exercise, performance and discharge of the powers, duties and functions that the Commission is given or conferred with by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act, No. 35 of 2002.
