2. Establishment of the Sri

There shall be established an Institution which shall be called theSri Lanka Standards Institution
(hereinafter refered to as “the Institution”).

The Institution shall by the name assigned to it by sub-section {1) be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal and may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
