9. Amendment of Article 95 of the Constitution

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Article 95 of the Constitution is hereby amended in paragraph (2) of that Article, by the substitution for the words and figures “paragraph (1) of this Article and subject to the provisions of Article 41A, appoint”, of the words and figure

“paragraph (1) and on the recommendation of the

Constitutional Council, appoint”.
