11. Retrospective effect

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The amendments made to the principal enactment by the provisions of this Act, except the incorporation of the exemption by item (xx) to paragraph (b)

of the First Schedule, shall be deemed for all purposes to have come into effect on January 1, 2007.

(2)

The exemption incorporated in item (xx) to paragraph (b) shall be deemed for all purposes to have come into effect on July 1, 2006.
